Ortitay to Lead Hearing on Special Education

WHAT: Rep. Jason Ortitay (R-Washington/Allegheny), chair of the House Education Subcommittee on Special Education, will lead a subcommittee public hearing on delivery of special education services to students in the Commonwealth.

WHO: Ortitay; members of the Subcommittee on Special Education; Carole Clancy, director of the Bureau of Special Education at the Pennsylvania Department of Education; Dr. Angela Kirby, director of the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN); Dr. Tony Grieco, executive director of the Intermediate Unit 18; Dr. Shane Hotchkiss, superintendent of the Bermudian Springs School District; Dr. Michael Leichliter, superintendent of the Penn Manor School District; and Brian Hayden, chief executive officer of Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School.
